Sales roundup: TVF inks deals for arts titles

TVF inks deals for arts titles

London-based factual distributor TVF has inked several deals for arts-themed titles.

ARTE ZDF has picked up BBC & PBS doc Basquiat: Rage to Riches (1 x 53; pictured), which profiles legendary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Histoire, France has bought the blue chip doc Hokusai: Old Man Crazy to Pain (1 x 59), while Redfitz Productions’ Conflict (1 x 52) was bought by RTP Portugal, AMC Networks Hungary, Canada’s TVO and Spanish public broadcaster RTVE.

Aussie doc You See Monsters (1 x 60) from Chemical Media and African Ladies Troupe (1 x 52) from Reflex Productions were picked up by Sky Arts New Zealand. The channel also secured rights to RTE’s competition format Painting the Nation (12 x 30/60 minutes).

Elsewhere, Sky Life Korea, Mindset Health Africa and Knowledge Network Canada are the latest broadcasters to license the 75-part series Brilliant Ideas.
