TVF scores Nordic sales

VG TV, Axess TV & YLE deals

TVF International has scored an array of Nordic sales ahead of MipTV.

VG TV acquired a package of titles including Channel 4’s Call Girls, ABC’s Children of the Sex Trade, How to Start a Revolution and The Term: Opposing Putin.

Meanwhile Swedish broadcaster Axess TV has picked up C4 series Penelope Keith’s Hidden Villages (12 x 48 minutes), as well as hour-long doc BBC4’s Winston Churchill: Blood, Sweat and Oils and two-parter Queen Victoria’s Letters: A Monarch Unveiled.

Elsewhere, Finnish public broadcaster YLE bought Smithsonian-C4 joint commission China’s Forgotten Emperor, while Denmark’s DR acquired PBS 60-minute doc America by the Numbers.

Danish independent non-profit organisation The Why Foundation also picked up C4 doc The Dancing Boys of Afghanistan, which it will then distribute to a number of international broadcasters.

Senior sales executive Lindsey Ayotte brokered the sales for TVF.
