Cave in the Snow

1 x 52

In 1976, after battling with blatant sexism within the monastic order, British born Tenzin Palmo isolated herself in a remote Himalayan cave engaging in twelve years of Buddhist meditation. She faced unimaginable cold, wild animals, near-starvation and avalanches. Her goal was to gain enlightenment as a woman.

Now a globe-trotting fundraiser, she is battling to build a nunnery in India. Dedicated to helping women achieve spiritual excellence, Tenzin Palmo is spearheading the last frontier of women's liberation, equal spiritual rights. She has set herself an imposing task, but is tirelessly good-humoured and unstoppable.
