Brilliant Corners is an adventure activism series about surfing and surf communities in some of the most exciting and unusual locations on the planet. The show is directed and presented by travel writer, geographer, lecturer in sustainable tourism and former European longboard champion, Sam Bleakley.

Travelling with his longboard in tow, Sam uses surfing to get under the skin of the coastlines he visits, showcasing emerging local surf cultures, responsible tourism frontiers and capturing the power of surfing for social good.

Brilliant Corners is a celebration of life, revealing positives in often miss-represented places and discussing critical issues of sustainability and responsible tourism.

In Season 03 Sam travels across the wild Indian Ocean coastline of Madagascar, then over to the Asian surfing frontiers of Papua New Guinea and India, where waveriding has ancient roots. He continues to Senegal in West Africa, showcasing some of the most talented up-and-coming young female and male surfers on the continent. Further north, Sam explores the Mediterranean coastline of Algeria with the handful of local surfers in the biggest country in Africa. He concludes the season in East Africa on the stunning Swahili shores of Zanzibar where the ancient practices of witchcraft sit comfortably alongside a new generation of action sports enthusiasts.
