World's Biggest Bird Park: The Great Migration

2 x 48 HD
Broadcaster:  CNA

After almost 50 years, Singapore's world-famous Jurong Bird Park, which houses over 3,500 exotic birds, is moving to a new home.

We go behind the scenes, meeting the keepers tasked with planning the move, and the designers and engineers trying to build them a state of the art residence. It's an ambitious plan - a never-attempted-before design that involves immersive aviaries built with giant columns and a massive mesh. How will the architects and project managers navigate this challenge – and stay sane as problems mount and deadlines loom?

While construction progresses, the park's passionate keepers, curators, and veterinarians have to nurse precious new-born King Penguins, match-make endangered eagles, and manage the world's most dangerous bird, while planning the big move down to the last detail.

How can they safely transport these precious birds across town, and get them settled in time for the big opening day?
