Alice follows a year of exciting excavations to get a first look at the UK’s biggest archaeological discoveries. 50 miles off the Isles of Scilly, archaeologists and the Ministry of Defence team up to save the first US ship sunk by enemy action in World War I. In Orkney, we investigate a 5,000-year-old tomb, as old as the great pyramids of Egypt. Meanwhile, in Oxfordshire, a chance discovery reveals the longest trail of dinosaur footprints ever found in Britain.
