Just twenty years after the notorious Salem Witch Trials in North America, the last witchcraft trial in Ireland took place in the close-knit Ulster-Scots community of Islandmagee in 1711.

Eighteen-year-old Mary Dunbar accused eight women and one man of bewitching her with spectral presences, supernatural attacks and hauntings, which went on to spark a vicious witch hunt, landing eight women in prison and leading one man to his death.
