With Europe the closest it has been to conflict since the height of the Cold War, attention turns to its easternmost borders with Russia. Following Finland’s NATO membership, the series follows Finnish veterans as they embed with Allied NATO forces in the Artic, offering an unprecedented, on-the-ground look at how Northern Europe is preparing to defend its new frontline.

Through exclusive field access, raw combat training footage and in-depth interviews, we are plunged into NATO's secretive High North training exercises, filmed for public viewing for the first time. Airborne assaults, challenging terrain and high-end weaponry are explained by top military minds to reveal how the world may go to war - and what it takes to defend NATO's northern flank.

This is a rare look at multi-national cooperation in one of the world’s most extreme and strategically vital regions, at a time when Europe's military readiness has never been so critical.
