Warner Bros. Discovery, in partnership with Future Studios and TVF International, is rebooting the factual series Body Bizarre/Unbelievable Me.
Body Bizarre features three real-life stories per episode of human bravery as inspirational people strive to overcome severe illnesses and medical conditions, refusing to allow their disabilities to dominate their lives.
The 10×45-minute series is produced for Warner Bros. Discovery’s linear channels and streaming platforms in the U.K., Nordics, Iberia, Germany, Benelux, Italy, France, Middle East, Africa, CEE and Poland.
The series is set to launch on Warner Bros. Discovery platforms in early 2025.
Myriam Lopez-Otazu, group VP of content and acquisitions for EMEA at Warner Bros. Discovery, said, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Future to bring back one of our best-loved medical series that still resonates with audiences internationally. The show is going back to its roots, with the same three-story, in-depth, medical-focused structure of the original Body Bizarre, but with the celebratory elements of the previous Future series Unbelievable Me bringing it up to date for 2025, each story with incredible heart and resilience at its core.”
Dean McDonald, senior production manager at Future, said, “We are incredibly excited and proud to bring Body Bizarre back for a new series. This season will continue to touch the hearts of our devoted fanbase while also reaching out to new viewers, sharing the remarkable and sometimes heart-wrenching extraordinary medical stories of the brave individuals featured in the latest season of Body Bizarre.”
Poppy McAlister, Head of TVF International, commented: “We are so pleased to see the return of this uplifting and important series, which raises awareness of some of the most rare and misunderstood illnesses across the globe. We are thrilled to partner with Future Studios and Warner Bros. Discovery on a brand-new installment; the expansion of the series is a testament to its incredible success.”
