
National Geographic, RTL and VRT are among the latest broadcasters in Benelux to acquire from London-based factual distributor TVF International.
National Geographic in Benelux has licensed the latest season of Skyworks’ aerial series The World from Above (14×26’), as well as Australia from Above (5×52’), UAE from Above (1×52’) and Oman from Above (1×52’).
RTL in the Netherlands and Luxembourg have picked up BBC factual entertainment series Secrets of the Aquarium (6×60’) and Super Tunnel, a Windfall Films production going behind-the-scenes of the construction of London’s Elizabeth Line.
Belgium’s VRT has acquired Davina McCall-fronted taboo-busting docs The Pill Revolution (1×45’), debunking the myths of the oral contraceptive pill, Sex, Mind & the Menopause (1×47’) and Sex, Myths & the Menopause (1×47’), all from Finestripe Productions. The pubcaster has also licensed Gambit Pictures’ history doc Castro’s Spies (1×103’, 1×50’), which tells the story of Cuban spies sent to the US in the 1990s.
Meanwhile, DPG Media has acquired investigative docs including Veracity Productions’ The Bitcoin Kid: Inside a Crypto-Heist (1×44’) and revenge porn doc You’ve Been Posted (1×44’).
The broadcaster has also licensed Mediacorp’s The Truth about Mukbang (1×48’), which investigates the benefits and dangers of the viral overeating phenomenon.
Dutch pubcaster NPO 2 Extra has picked up Brilliant Ideas (77×22’), a Bloomberg series featuring the world’s most influential and provocative artists, and a selection of episodes from shortform travel series Little Big World (132×4-7’).
