The Australian Open, held annually in Melbourne, is one of four “Grand Slam” events across the year,  the others being the French Open, the U.S. Open and Wimbledon. But it’s Australia’s tournament — nicknamed the “Happy Slam” — that brings in the most fans, with the 2024 edition welcoming a whopping 1,100,000 spectators. This doc, from the producers of 2019’s The Australian Dream, provides an overview of the event’s history, and also brings us behind the scenes and into the stands for the drama that unfolds on the court and off.
