Independent factual distributor TVF International has sold UK rights to the RTÉ-commissioned true crime series “Swindlers” to Netflix, marking a significant platform acquisition for the three-part series.

Produced by Allkind Media, whose credits include “Game Changer: AI & You” and “Vogue Williams: My Anxious Life”, “Swindlers” explores stranger-than-fiction stories surrounding some of Ireland’s most notorious con artists. The series delves into headline-grabbing cases ranging from a €52 million bank heist to an international female fraudster who swindled millions from victims across three continents.

Told through the perspectives of defrauded victims, deceived friends and colleagues, and the journalists and detectives who ultimately brought the perpetrators to justice, each episode unravels a complex web of lies while guiding viewers through a series of ingenious and meticulously executed crimes.

TVF International launched the series to the international market during its London TV Screenings event, positioning the title within the competitive global true crime space. The Netflix deal underscores the continued demand for premium, character-driven factual storytelling.
