TVF International has inked a deal with the global SVOD service MagellanTV and U.K. producer Furnace to co-produce a new two-part series presented by physicist Jim Al-Khalili.

Jim Al-Khalili’s Guide to How We Got Here will see the physicist take viewers on a journey through the weird and wonderful microscopic world of quantum mechanics, exploring how it is behind both the large scale structure of the universe and the fundamental processes of life.

The show will debut on MagellanTV later this year.

TVF International’s head of acquisitions, Will Stapley, commented: “At a time when COVID is making traditional routes to commissions more difficult, we’re really pleased to be able to generate new opportunities with top-tier production partners like Furnace, and bring to life these sort of ambitious original productions which ask audiences the biggest questions in science.”
