Greenpeace: Making a Stand

1 x 48

What inspires people to risk their lives for their beliefs – to sail a ship into a nuclear test zone, to get between a pod of whales and an explosive harpoon, or to block bulldozers mowing down a forest? What happens when individual citizens decide to make a stand, however formidable the challenge or severe the consequences? This exciting and unconventional documentary looks at Greenpeace as a case study in how ordinary people join together with courage and imagination to fight for what they believe is right. Presenting dramatic stories from the early days of environmentalism in the 1970’s and from the front lines of a current campaign in Argentina, the film reveals how extraordinary things can happen when individuals follow their hearts.
