Each episode is based in a different region of the country, from the rolling green hills of Auckland to the plains of Canterbury, the mountains of Central Otago and the subtropical Far North. With his mobile kitchen in tow, Al visits the best food producers and vineyards, and experiments with choice ingredients along the way, working out sensational menus which he serves to discerning guests at dinner each evening.

From Wairarapa Texel Lamb to Malborough King Salmon and Fig Tart with Manuka Honey and Macadamia Nuts, Al cooks up delicious dishes, giving a heap of great food tips mixed with good doses of humour.
