Female Death Riders

1 x 48 HD
Broadcaster:  CNA

This extraordinary film follows the groundbreaking story of some of the first women in Indonesia to perform on the 'Wall of Death' - a high-flying act of riding a motorcycle on the vertical walls of a gigantic cylinder, also known as the Tong Setan or Satan's Barrel.

The female riders' daring feats are amplified against the backdrop of the traditionally male-dominated stunt performance industry. We explore the heart of the country's popular fun fairs as both community entertainment hubs and platforms for displaying extraordinary bravery.

Following the stories of several female riders, this film challenges the expected role of women in society, and showcases a new, empowered generation willing to push the physical and societal boundaries of what is possible.
