Reaching the Unreached

3 x 48 HD
Broadcaster:  CNA

The world's most isolated populations often suffer from a lack of access to vital medical treatments. Across Asia, some rural communities remain completely deprived of healthcare, and in the least developed countries, there is on average one doctor per 1000 inhabitants.

Reaching the Unreached follows heroic doctors navigating challenges to treat patients in these remote areas, from a polio vaccination team in northwest Pakistan, to a doctor helping nomads in northern Mongolia and a floating hospital in the Indian Himalayas.

The journeys are difficult and often dangerous, and we witness how these courageous doctors overcome challenges and risk their lives on land, water, and even in the air, to provide life-saving medical assistance.
