The English Channel is home to one of Europe's largest colonies of dolphins, but also to some of the world's busiest shipping traffic routes. Heavy industry means that mass strandings of dolphins are becoming increasingly frequent.

Two scientists, Pauline, a Frenchwoman on the Normandy coast, and Lucy, an Englishwoman in Portsmouth, are studying and trying to protect these large mammals - and the English Channel ecosystem in general - from the damage caused by these dangerous ships.

Together, they are battling to save the lives of the wild dolphins in the English Channel, before its too late.
