Walk the Line: ICE Nation

1 X 58 / 2 X 47 HD
Broadcaster:  CNA

In the wake of ongoing ICE raids across the US, millions of immigrants are now seeing their American Dream turn into a nightmare.

In the multi award-winning first series of Walk the Line, we followed several groups of brave Chinese migrants who fought to reach the USA. Now, two years on, journalist Wei Du and her team return to investigate the realities of life for immigrants in America today. We reunite with the Chinese asylum seekers who have risked it all to make it into California but are now left questioning whether they are willing to fight for a country that will not fight for them. Along the way, we uncover the lucrative industry of detention towns in border towns, encounter anti-ICE protests in Chicago and Minnesota, and hear first-hand testimony from those whose lives have been shaken by the nation's immigration system.

Sequel to Walk the Line: Escaping from China to the USA (Best Current Affairs Documentary nominee at the International Emmy Awards, Winner at Asian Academy Creative Awards, World Media Festivals Television & Corporate Media Awards, New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, and Japan Prize 2025).
