On the top floor of the North Tower, the famous restaurant 'Windows on the World' was completely destroyed on 9/11. In time for the 25th anniversary in September 2026, this is the incredible untold story of the Asian migrants who worked there.

The restaurant was staffed by over 400 people from 50 different nationalities. Many were immigrants from the Philippines, Bangladesh and India drawn to the USA by the promise of opportunity. They are the forgotten victims of New York's nightmare. Not the white-collar professionals, bankers, lawyers, analysts who dominated the headlines, but the waiters, chefs, kitchen hands and cleaners.

With exclusive access to the victims' families and other restaurant staff members, this harrowing day is brought to life through stylised reconstructions and eyewitness testimony. Through the eyes of the families - children who grew up without parents, colleagues who carry memories and unfulfilled dreams - the film traces the lasting personal and societal impact of 9/11 across decades, revealing the event as the zeitgeist moment of the 21st century, sparking a legacy of xenophobia and anti-migrant policies still felt today.
