1 x 48 HD
Broadcaster:  CNA

While the rest of the world tries to stop smoking, Big Tobacco is flourishing in Indonesia. Millions rely on the company for their livelihood, but part of this workforce are hundreds of infants working in the tobacco fields. Child-workers suffer from the deadly effects of nicotine poisoning and pesticides as they toil to supply the wealthiest cigarette brands and their customers. The cigarette companies say that they cannot help that the tobacco industry is the biggest contributor to Indonesia's national income, so the business is growing.

Travelling across Indonesia hearing from the children and their bosses, Nicotine Kids uncovers the toxic world of those forced to pay a high price for the sake of the world's most addictive drug. Missing school and enduring daily sickness is not a choice for these children. Why is this problem being ignored?
